Reflex
The most accurate proportion measurement
The classical measurement systems for measuring the proportions of polished stones all use a projection of the profile (shadow method) to scan the diamond. This method does have some typical disadvantages concerning accuracy. If you want to polish close to the edges of a triple excellent or you want to make your stone extremely symmetrical, these methods do not suffice. With the level of accuracy classical measurement systems provide, it is not possible to grade the symmetry of the stone either.
With Reflex, the complete Cut (Proportions, Polish & Symmetry) can be graded. Inclination and index angles can be measured with accuracies up to ±0.02°. The depth of the facets can be measured with submicron accuracy. This means symmetry can be graded based on these measurements. This all is applicable to round shapes as well as fancy shapes. Generate the complete 3D-model, girdle included, and know exactly your stone its proportions and symmetry. An Avalon is even integrated to grade your polish, so you can see your polish lines on the facets in the 3D-model of your stone.
